Solid post-production is essential for any project started in today's digital world. With every day becoming easier to pick up a camera and shoot and with costs going down, knowing someone that can help you create a vision that stands apart is essential.

Roles

Visual Effects Supervisor

One of the most overlooked aspects of independent filmmaking is the potential for visual effects. The Visual FX Supervisor is the person who understands the relationships between the shooting crew and the computer-generated imagery (cgi) crew, and works with the producers to arrange the proper shots and equipment to complete the shots to the satisfaction of the creatives (ie, the director.)

As a Visual FX Supervisor, I will work with you to create what normally cannot be experienced and shot. Whether it takes a greenscreen or a series of plates- I'll talk about it with you and make it feasible. No movie should have to settle for poor effects. Understanding how to shoot makes the difference. I can make that difference for you.

Editor

With so many editors to choose from, what would I have to offer that sets me apart?

As your editor, you will quickly learn that I go beyond the usual when it comes to technical competency, meeting your benchmarks efficiently, and providing a pleasant atmosphere for creativity and functionality.

I am also sometimes available for opportunities in other levels of post-production, from production assistant to assistant editor. Let me know what you need.

Colorist

Shooting experience, good lighting, proper composition can make all the difference between a shot that wins and one that fails. But no matter how great your cinematographer is, I can make the shot look even better with color correction. Sometimes grandiose visual effects are added to enhance color correction, other times, correction is more subtle and designed to only highlight. As your colorist, I will discuss with you and your DP what theme and motifs make the most sense, and working together, you will know the difference a colorist can make.
